The good thing about reward/behaviour charts is, they can help children understand that its more rewarding to behave than misbehave. Giving a child a sticker/tick initially gets them focused on what your are teaching them to do or not to do. Being praised, complemented and maybe even a reward once the chart is full will only get them working harder to do better.

Eventually it will just come naturally to them!!

It is important to make the process as fun as possible, or it won't be as effective. Try to use reward charts that your child would like. Our site offers a good range of charts, new ones always being added. Maybe sit with your child and let them pick.
